We hope you had a fantastic Father’s Day yesterday; but now that we’re past that fun holiday – it’s time to get back to featuring some fun Patriotic washi projects! We’ve already featured a 4th of July Mason Jar and a Patriotic Washi Tape Flower Wreath, and today we’re sharing a Washi Blog original – this Washi Tape Flag!
I’ve been working on updating our mantel for the 4th (which will be shared later this month at A Night Owl), but one of the first pieces I completed was this easy and adorable Washi Flag! And as it is with most things washi – it was quick and easy!
Here are the supplies:
- Frame
- Paper
- Red washi tape
- Blue washi tape
- Scissors
Here are the steps:
- I grabbed a red frame (really any frame will do)
- Cut a piece of paper down to the size that will fit nicely in the frame
- Line the piece of paper with red washi tape, horizontally, with space in between for the white flag lines
- I just wrapped the washi tape ends to the back of the paper, since it will be framed and won’t show
- Indicate on the red washi where you want your blue flag corner to start
- Cut away the red washi tape from that corner
- Line the empty corner with blue washi tape
- Frame paper – and voila! One easy and adorable Washi Tape Flag!
What do you think? A pretty easy and fun way to add some patriotic decor to your home or party this 4th of July! If you have a fun patriotic washi tape project – be sure to share it with us so we can feature YOU here at The Washi Blog!
